Dear chums and chumesses,
Hello again!
Well, we’re almost at the end of 2023 (unless you are reading this late - in which case, Happy New Year!) and, for us, it’s been a pretty crap year. I’ve already told you all of the things that have gone wrong and, if you don’t mind, I’m not going to bore you with it again!
Realistically, it’s never possible to package neatly all the bad things into a single year and stop them at the end of December but that doesn’t mean that you can’t look forward to some positive, fun thing that will appear in the future - so I’m going to be doing that as much as possible.
In the meantime, in the spirit of the season, I am going to share with you a few of the silly things that I have shared with friends throughout the year. Nothing serious, just plain silliness to, hopefully, raise a smile in the last hours of the year.
Take care, everyone, and see you in 2024! May it be a fantastic year, full of exciting new things, for you all!
James x
Oh, and just in case 2024 manages to be worse than the previous few years, here’s a public service announcement courtesy of your favourite search engine…
And finally…
A huge thank you to everyone who sent me a message of support or bought me a coffee or shared or recommended the newsletter over the past 12 months. It’s been a very trying time and your kindness has been overwhelming. At the inevitable risk of forgetting many people, thank you to Michelle N, Lynn, Phil. Marie, Tim, Cathie, Jenny, Bobbie R, Abir, Martha and Christian.
Thank you!
Happy new year, James. May it be full of sillinesses.
PS Good news about the nuclear safe distance - what have we been worrying about all these decades!
