Dear Persons of Interest
How are you all this week? Lots of interesting things this week – some of which I can talk about! Some will await another day!
As I type, the news is reporting that Alexei Navalny has ‘died’. To Putin’s credit, at least they managed to kill him in a more original way than the traditional ‘accidentally falling out of a window’. Although, if you’re in prison, I suppose there aren’t many open windows to fall out of.
They didn’t manage to poison him using Novichok, despite trying – but they did jail him for no particular reason and having him captive made it much simpler to kill him.
Opponents, supporters, children, women and men – nobody is safe from Putin and his murderous decisions.
The world’s leaders will now do nothing about it.
These newsletters are meant to be a moment of levity – but, just occasionally, things need to be said. This is one of those times.
And, now, a smooth segue into the newsletter that we all know and love.
In this edition,
Tesla Cybertruck Hilarity
Hahahahahahaha
TV pitch
and much, much more!
So, let’s jump to it before Putin tries to finish off this newsletter too!
Laterz!

The Wonderful Tesla Cybertruck
Now, I think we all know the high esteem in which I hold leading nepo-entrepreneur, Elon Musk. So it is with no pleasure that I write any of this.
Despite his excellent stewardship of X (formerly known as a social network), it would seem that the metropolitan liberal elite are taking aim at his excellent, beautiful Cybertruck.
Having already dismissed the visually superb, pioneering vehicle as looking as if it had been designed by a bored child with a ruler who had been sent to his room as a punishment, they then went on the attack because the excellent bulletproof glass turned out to break if you threw a ball at it…
…but, unless I am much mistaken, a ball is not a bullet, is it?
Anyway, the latest feeble attack comes from the fact that the beautiful stainless steel finish is rusting.
Well, tell me this, when did our lord St Elon say that it was rustproof, eh? He said it was stainless, not rustless – and bulletproof, not weatherproof.
WHY DO YOU ALL HATE ELON?!
We’re All Suffering.
Thoughts and prayers.
We can get through this.
Almost Free Trains
People in Croatia over 65 can now apply for a travel card (costing 2€65) that allows them free train travel across Croatia in 2024. That’s a pretty good deal - just take a look at the size of the country and the cost of trains!
Anyway, nothing to do with that, here’s a video about fantastic Zagreb!
I miss Zagreb!
Hahahahahaha!
In a week that has been pretty bleak, I think we should all give a massive THANK YOU to this month’s Conservative PM Rishi Sunak for his excellent by-election results.
Thanks Rishi! Hilarious!
TV Show Pitch
Do any of you work in TV? I’ve had an idea that I want to pitch.
You know TV show mash-ups? Like Cats Does Countdown?
Well, I’m thinking The Traitors Does The Repair Shop would be awesome.
It’s basically like The Repair Shop but, in each episode, one of the experts has to sabotage the repair work and then they have to guess who it is before they destroy everything.
I’ll give 10% to whoever gets it commissioned.
Get your people to call my people.
Don’t Die Of Draughts
This is a Croatian Public Service Announcement.
If you leave two openings open in a room, you will end up dead as a result of the propuh AND YOU WILL ONLY HAVE YOURSELF TO BLAME.
Same if you wash your hair and go outside before drying it.
This and more essential Croatian medical advice can be found here.
Stay safe, kids!
Thank you!
Thanks to everyone who has supported my son Marko (the Co-Pilot) on his Gofundme for his study trip to Norway next month.
For those of you who don’t know, Marko is dyslexic and he is going to Norway as part of an Erasmus+ trip where he will be looking at how students with dyslexia are assessed and supported in the Norwegian education system. He will be reporting back and, hopefully, this will lead to practical suggestions as to how dyslexic students in other countries can be supported.
If you would like to help, it will be gratefully received! He will also be giving us some photos and info during his trip which I will add to this newsletter. :)

Podcast Corner
Well, given the hilarity of Rishi’s pitiful efforts and the double hilarity of watching the right get played by Reform and their vested interests, this week’s Podcast Corner suggestion has to be the brilliant How To Win An Election.
Polly Mackenzie, Peter Mandelson and Danny Finkelstein provide the expertise with Matt Chorley providing drinks and nibbles.
And, with particular apologies to Rishi, this is the How To Win A By-Election episode!
Rishi, don’t bother - it’s too late!
That’s all for this week!
By the way, do you do Duolingo? I’m jamesmbHR on there - come and say hi!
I am getting worried about the lack of time left until the end of the Fortnite season… Anyone else?!
Let’s hope that the news gets less miserable throughout the next week. Or, at the very least, gives us more stupidity to laugh at.
Have a great one!
